Did you know that you can use your smart phone (Android or iOS) to record your dictations, interviews, or any other recording?

The advent of smart phone and tablet technology means that cheap recording solutions do not necessarily mean poor quality audio files. Before you head out to invest in an expensive recorder check out the latest applications and do some experimenting.

The things to look out for when deciding on which application to use would include the following:

• the ability to alter the quality settings
• the ability to individually name your recordings if required

If you would like to experiment a bit you can upload a trial recording to your WorkSpace and ask us to check it for quality and file type.
